1. Fingerprint Authentication Feature:
The new fingerprint authentication feature will be available on Android via WhatsApp ‘Settings’ > ‘Privacy’ section. It will exactly work as an iOS version in terms of the usage. So, the user will have to authenticate the identity everytime in order to open and access the WhatsApp from the home app icon, from the notification or from the external pickers. That means the app will be completely safe from any third person user. The user doesn’t need to set any app locker for the particular application. This feature is in works currently for the Android version and will be available soon in a few weeks or months. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow or above version running and having a dedicated fingerprint sensor device users can use this feature.
2. New Audio Picker Feature:
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also working to improve the Audio Picker section to send audio files to the contacts. It will support the audio preview and image preview of the audio files (if any). The user can send maximum 30 audio messages at a time. But this feature will also be introduced later.
