Xiaomi is the best smartphone brand when it comes to budget phones. It is one of the best sellers of smartphones in China and India, the countries with the largest population. Most of you who are owning Xiaomi smartphones, you know that Xiaomi smartphones come with exclusive MIUI skin. In May last year, Xiaomi came up with MIUI 8 and rolled it out in all the applicable devices. You might have heard Xiaomi’s announcement of rolling out MIUI 9. MIUI 9 Released – When Download Will Available?
If you are not living under the rock, you must be aware of the fact that Xiaomi launched MI5X on July 26th. On the same day, it rolled out updates of MIUI 9 for the eligible devices. They have successfully and officially released the update well before the anticipated 16th August date. So along with Xiaomi Mi5X, MIUI also made a perfect debut.
According to Xiaomi, some of the specific Xiaomi devices will be able to download MIUI 9 China ROM in the first phase effective immediately. Others have to wait for the second (11st August) and third phase(September). No word has been spoken about Global ROM rollout yet. MIUI 9 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat which is such a relief for Xiaomi users who were starving to upgrade their almost outdated OS.
MIUI 9 China ROM – Eligible Devices [Full List]

In the second phase, Xiaomi Mi Mix, Mi Max, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5c, Mi Max 2, Mi Note 2, Mi 4S, Mi 4c, Mi Note Pro, and Redmi 4X users will get to downland MIUI 9 China Rom which is going to be by the end of August.
Finally, in the third phase which is going to be in September, all other Xiaomi smartphones except Mi1/1S and Mi 2A will get it.
Highlighted Features Of MIUI 9
Some of the features you need to watch out for after installing MIUI 9 China ROM are overall new design, handy shortcuts on the lock screen, split screen and image feature search to distinguish images by keywords.
The new Smart Assistant feature will let you search anything and you can find it just by swiping the home screen to the right. There will be useful widgets like Apple’s Spotlight feature. It is needless to say that battery and device performance will be significantly better. There will be three new themes as well. The latest security patch of Android 7.0 Nougat is also included to prevent various ransomware attacks.
