When the tech world was busy following and covering the Samsung Unpacked event, HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of Nokia smartphones quietly without much fanfare released the Nokia 2.1, the Nokia 3.1 and the Nokia 5.1 in India.
The devices also called Nokia 2 ( 2018), the Nokia 3 (2018) and the Nokia 5 (2018) are the successors to the original Nokia 2, 3, 5 respectively which were unveiled last year.
Pricing Details
The Nokia 2.1 has been priced for Rs. 6,999 the same price for which the Nokia 2 retailed on its debut last year.
The Nokia 3.1 is available for Rs 11,999 for the 3GB/ 32 GB variant. And as it happens, it is currently the only variant of the device launched in the country.
The Nokia 5.1 has been priced at Rs 14,999 and is available in the 3GB/ 32GB variant.
Launch Offers
The devices come with a bunch of offers also. Paytm is offering a 10 percent cash back on recharges and bill payments made using its platforms. The offer is unlocked by scanning the Paytm Mall QR code in retail outlets.
ICICI Bank is giving a cashback of 5% on purchase of Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 made using their cred or its cards.
From telecoms, Idea, and Vodafone are giving a couple of offers on the purchase of the device. For those who are upgrading from an old 2G or 3G phone to the Nokia 3.1, there is an extra 1GB data per day for the next 28 days.
Availability
The devices would be available to purchase starting 12th August from the Nokia mobile store, Paytm mall and offline retailers.
The Nokia 2.1 is available in Blue/ Copper, Blue/ Silver and Grey/ Silver color variants.
For the Nokia 3.1, the available color variants are Blue/ Copper, Black/ Chrome, and White/ Iron.
In the case of the Nokia 5.1, the colors are a little bit more classic with the variants being Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black.
The Black would be available at a later date, which has not been revealed as of now.
