Motorola has now started rolling out the Android Nougat 7.1.1 (Blur_Version.26.51.19.griffin.retail.en.US.zip) update to its flagship device from last year, the Moto Z. The update is currently only rolled out to the devices in Hong Kong and Indonesia and it comes with the latest July security patch for Android along with several new features like app shortcuts, rounded icons and improved doze functions.

The update is expected to be rolled out to more countries in the coming week. The OTA update is sized at 1.2 GB and a notification about the update will be received in your device anytime soon. If you have rooted your device or have unlocked your bootloader you might not receive the OTA update.

Here are two methods in such cases to update your Moto Z to the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 manually. You might choose any of these 2 methods which you find comfortable or easy.Follow the simple guide to manually Update Moto Z to Android 7.1.1. Nougat
