Samsung rolls out July security patch to Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Note 4

Samsung Galaxy S6, as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones which were released by the company in 2015, have now started to receive the update which installs the latest July security patch update to all the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones around the world. Also, the flagship smartphone of the company from 2015, the Galaxy Note 4 has also started to receive the same update which installs the July security patch. In terms of the July security patch update, it is the latest security patch released by Google dated July 5 and the security patch is known to have solved many vulnerabilities in the security of the Android phones around the world.

Talking about the update for the phones, the update has been released by Samsung with different build numbers for every phone which has been released as follows:

    • Samsung Galaxy S6: G920IDVU3FQG1 
    • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: G920IDVU3FQG1
    • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Exynos): N910CXXS2DQG6 
    • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Snapdragon): N910FXXS1DQFA 

Now, as far as the update is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been released with Exynos processor in the different markets including China whereas the Snapdragon variants have been released in the US. Talking about the update, the July security patch will be installed on the above-mentioned devices after the update.

As far as the update is concerned, the update will also bring some performance as well as stability improvements to all the devices which are getting the update. Apart from that, the device should also solve all the existing bugs that were present on the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge as well as Note 4 smartphones in the earlier builds. Apart from that, the smartphone should be charged to above 50% battery before installing the update in order to make sure that the update gets installed without any problems to your devices and the update should improve the security of your device
