Honor, the child company from Huawei, had earlier released the flagship smartphone from the company named as the Honor 7X. As far as the smartphone is concerned, the Honor 7X is the successor to the Honor 6X which was launched by Honor last year and the smartphone series from the company has received a good response. As far as the Honor 7X is concerned, the device was launched by the company last month with Android 7.1 Nougat along with EMUI custom skin developed by Huawei for its phones.

Now, we have known that the latest version of Android has been released and the smartphones are awaited to get the update to latest version of Android. Thus, Honor has now started a beta program in order to test the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Honor 7X which is based on the EMUI v8. As far as the latest update is concerned, the beta testing has been made available in select countries which include United States, India, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France and the beta test for the update will be rolled out to the enrolled users in these countries only. Honor has also announced that the update will be rolled out soon publicly as soon as the beta testing is successfully completed.

Now, one of the main takeaways from the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Honor 7X is that the device gets full Project Treble compatibility along with this latest update which means that it will now become easier as well as faster for Honor 7X to get the latest versions of Android to the device. Apart from that, it is also worth noting that the Honor 7X has already received an update earlier which enable Face Unlock as well as AR Lens to the device. Stay tuned to get more information on the beta testing of Android Oreo for Honor 7X.
