HMD Global recently released their trio of smartphones from MWC in India, not including the Android Go powered Nokia 1 which had gone on sale even before the launch event. And if you were, just like few others disappointed due to absence of announcement regarding the 4GB variant of the Nokia 6 2018, then cheer up, as according to a report on NokiaPowerUser, HMD global may soon unveil the Nokia 6 2018 in India, probably at an event later this month or early next month to release their Nokia 8110 revamp also, just an assumption. Or if NokiaPowerUser is to be believed it might get launched as early as the next week, though it might be without any formal launch event.
A recap, the Nokia 6 2018 was unveiled by HMD Global at MWC’ 2018 in Barcelona, if you don’t consider its China-exclusive January release The device sports an octa-core Snapdragon 630 chipset and would be available in memory, storage variants of 3/32GB and 4/64GB.
The device runs a near stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo and sports a 5.5- inch FHD(1920x1080p) display and is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery.
Moving to the imaging front, the device packs a 16MP back camera, this time ZEISS powered and has an 8MP front- camera this time also ZEISS powered. The device has support for the infamous bothies also, something that Nokia tried popularizing with the Nokia 8 and well, its success is debatable.
It also packs, the usual in 2018, fingerprint scanner, NFC support, fast charging, USB- C.
Nokia has already made a reputation for providing updates really fast, sometimes even beating Google’s own Pixel lineup of devices, and in a bid to improve this device is now enrolled in the Android One program promising even faster updates to it, now what can be faster than beating Google Pizel? Probably, it would mean the even fast arrival of Android P than what it took for the original Nokia 6 to get Android O.
The 3/32GB variant was launched in India for Rs. 16,999 and is available for purchase on the official Nokia Mobile store or through its numerous offline retail partners. And as for the 4/64GB variant, the pricing can be expected to be around Rs. 18,499 with availability by April or mid- May depending on the launch.
