Xiaomi launches Redmi 5 in India with prices starting at Rs. 7999

Xiaomi recently launched two smartphones in India which were named as the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro. These smartphones are the flagship smartphones in the Xiaomi Redmi Note series from the company which is also the main reason for company’s recent success in India. Talking about the popularity of the Xiaomi Redmi Note series, the company launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 last year which became the fastest and most-selling smartphone in India of 2017 and the company even beat Samsung to become the No.1 smartphone brand in India. Now, the company, after lots of teasing, has launched the Xiaomi Redmi 5 in India which is a budget version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

As far as the Xiaomi Redmi 5 is concerned, the smartphone is similar to the Redmi 5 which was launched in China at the end of last year by Xiaomi. In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with 5.7-inch HD+ which comes down to 720×1440 pixels display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 282ppi pixel density. Apart from that, the Redmi 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC and the device comes in 2GB/3GB and 4GB RAM variants along with 16GB/32GB and 64GB internal storage variants which are priced at 7999, 8999 and 10999 respectively

Apart from that, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. Also, there is a 5-megapixel camera on the front of Xiaomi Redmi 5 which comes with a soft-light flash module as well which comes along with Xiaomi’s beautify 3.0 technology to enhance selfies. Along with that, the company has also bundled in a 3300 mAh non-removable battery inside the smartphone so as to keep the device running for a longer time. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 has been made available exclusively via Amazon India and the first flash sale of the smartphone is scheduled on 12 PM, March 20.
