Samsung has been releasing updates to the flagship phones which have been released this year as well in the past years. The recent Samsung flagships like the Galaxy S8 as well as Galaxy S7 have received the update to the latest security patch already. Talking about the flagship smartphones, the company has launched the smartphones with the carriers in the US as well apart from selling the smartphones unlocked. Now, talking about the carriers, the users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have started a receive a new update on their smartphones from the Verizon network.

As far as the update is concerned, the users of the smartphones that have received the update have reported that the update brings the latest security patch update which is the July security patch. The July security patch was released by Google in the beginning of July and the smartphones from Verizon are receiving the update at the end of the month of July. It is worth noting that the July security patch is a big update as the security vulnerabilities that were noticed in the previous builds have now been fixed which makes the devices secure against attacks.

As far as the build numbers are concerned, the Galaxy Note 5 is receiving the update as build number N920VVRU3CQF3 while the update is received on the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus as build number G928VVRU3CQF3. Apart from that, we have also known that the smartphones have been receiving some improvements other than the July security patch. The update improves voice over Wi-Fi calls as well as fixes a Google search app issue which occurred in Easy Mode. The new software update also brings Notification for no app space which is given to notify a user of low space so that the unnecessary apps or files can be removed beforehand.
