Samsung has already rolled out an update to the flagship smartphones from the company. These smartphones are the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge that was released last year. Samsung has already launched the Samsung Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8+ this year. Talking about the tablets from the company, Samsung has just recently released the Tab S3 which is the latest generation of the tablet from Samsung. The Galaxy Tab S3’s predecessor, the Tab S2 has also received the update from Samsung recently. All these updates from Samsung are upgrading the respective devices to the latest security patch.

Now, one of the biggest US carriers, Verizon is rolling out the update to the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge as well as the Galaxy Tab S2. The update is bringing the latest security patch which is the June security patch. The update should increase the security of the device as the June security patch is known to be the most secure security patch yet. The updates arrive as builds G930VVRU4BQF2, G935VVRU4BQF2and T817VVRU2DQE1 to the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Tab S2 devices respectively. For the changes included in the update, we have known that for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the update deals with various issues and includes fixes for the same. These issues resolved here are with Link Sharing Notification, Video message (MMS) playback, connectivity with Gear 360, Device boot up issues and a whole lot more.

As far as the update to the Galaxy Tab S2 is concerned, the tab has now been updated to Android Nougat. The update should bring improved Doze mode, revamped settings menu, quick reply from notification shade and much more. Your tablet will need to be on software version T817VVRS2BPL1 to receive the update. Make sure to download the updates to the respective devices as soon as possible
