Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been noticed receiving the stable Android 9 Pie update. The update comes first to Bulgaria and Slovakia countries. In a coming few weeks Samsung will provide the Android 9.0 Pie beta programme for the Galaxy Note 8 in other regions as well. The custom skin by Samsung named One UI is the updated version of Samsung’s Experience UI. However, the Experience UI is still running on all the entry-level and budget segment Samsung devices. The One UI based on Android 9 Pie update was first released for the latest Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9/S9+ devices last year. Samsung has also been released February 2019 Android Security Patch as well.
Now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 reportedly getting the OTA update via batches and it will take some time to roll-out the update globally. The OTA update file comes with around 571MB in size. The report by SamMobile site claimed that the OTA is only available in Bulgaria and Slovakia right now. The software update version is N950FXXU5DSB2 and it also brings the latest Android Security Patch of February 2019.

Those who have participated in the Android Pie One UI Beta program list, receiving the update via batches. Then the update will be rolled out as global stable ROM to the Galaxy Note 8 devices officially. That’s why the official update changelog details aren’t released yet by the company. We have to wait for that.
One UI update (Android 9 Pie) on Galaxy Note 8
The One UI based on Android Pie will bring all the native Android 9.0 Pie features along with inbuilt One UI features and interface as well. As we all know that the One UI is simply based on user experience and productivity. That means the One UI is made for one-handed usage which will make things simple for the bigger display devices.
Either you can wait for the official OTA update notification, or you can also check for the availability of the Android Pie based One UI update on your Galaxy Note 8 device. Just go to Device Settings > Software update > Download updates manually. If you get the update notification, simply update and install it. For those users who are already using the One UI beta update can find the latest beta update as well by checking the same way.
