OnePlus has released a new update to the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T which was launched last year by the company. As a recap, the company has launched the OnePlus 5 recently which is the flagship smartphone from the company for this year. The OnePlus 3 was launched last year as the flagship smartphone in 2016 but the company later released the OnePlus 3T by the end of 2016. Both the smartphones had been merged later and the smartphones have been receiving the update at the same time.

Now, the OnePlus 3 & 3T are getting a new update via an update to the OxygenOS build which is the custom software that OnePlus ships with all of its devices on top of Android. Now, as far as the update to the OnePlus 3 and the 3T is concerned, the update is via the Open Beta system of the OxygenOS which was released as a Beta program for the devices by OnePlus last year. The OnePlus 3 is getting the Open Beta version 20 update whereas the OnePlus 3T is receiving the update as Open Beta 11. Talking about the update, the update brings a host of changes like the Battery saver indication has been changed from orange status bar to a notification. Also, there have been optimizations to the expanded screenshots as the expanded screenshots are now captured even while playing GIF as well as videos.

Apart from the changes, there have been bug fixes in this update as well. First of all, the bug where the third party apps were crashing has now been solved. Also, the bug where the battery information of the connected Bluetooth device which was showing wrong has now been solved. Finally, the bug where the weather forecast for the coming days could not be showed occasionally has also been solved now with this update. Do note that this update is only available for users who have enrolled in the Open Beta program from OnePlus for these devices.
