Samsung Galaxy Note 8(Exynos variants) users can now download the latest TWRP recovery 3.1.0 which is very useful in rooting the device and installing custom ROMs. The phone has already reached all the users who ordered it and if you are looking forward to rooting your device to enhance its potential, the latest TWRP recovery version is perfect for you.

Along with TWRP recovery, you will need to flash Magisk to complete the rooting process.It is very simple to follow.We have shared a detailed step by step guide below to install TWRP and Root Galaxy Note 8 (Exynos Variants)

Downloads

  • Download Latest Odin Tool on your computer.
  • Download and Install Galaxy note 8 USB driver.
  • Download Official TWRP Recovery for Galaxy Note 8.
  • Download Magisk for Galaxy Note 8.

Steps To Install TWRP On Galaxy Note 8

Step 1. Enable USB Debugging and OEM unlocking by going to Settings>Developer Options. If Developer Options is not enabled, go to Settings>About Phone and tap on the build number 7 times.

Step 2. Download and extract Odin tool Zip file and run Odin Exe file on your computer.

Step 3. Connect your Galaxy Note 8 to your computer and reboot it into Download/Odin mode. For that, turn off your device and then hold the Bixby and Volume Down buttons together.

Step 4. Once you enter into the Download mode on your device, you will see ID:COM port turning blue on Odin software and the message Added will appear. This means your device has been recognized. In case of any problem, download and install USB driver from the Download section and reconnect your phone.

Step 5. Now add twrp.3.1.0_xx.tar file(downloaded) to AP/PDA tab in Odin and make sure F.Reset Time is checked and Auto Reboot is disabled.

Step 6. Finally, click on Start button and the flashing process will begin. Once you see Pass message with green color, you will be certain that you have installed TWRP successfully.

Steps To Root Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Step 1. Boot your device into recovery mode by pressing Bixby and Volume Up button together and then pressing the Power button. Once the phone turns on, release the power button but hold on to Bixby and Vul Up keys.

Step 2. TWRP main menu will appear and you have to select Wipe>Format data. Once done, reboot your device in Recovery mode again in the same way.

Step 3. Select Install option from the menu and select Magisk.zip to root. Swipe to flash and once done reboot your device normally.

That is it, you have installed latest TWRP recovery and rooted your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and made it ready for custom ROMs.
