Steps To Install July 2017 Security Update For HTC 10 (2.51.617.1)
Method 1: Directly From OTA Update If You Have Received It
Step 1. Go to The Settings on your phone.
Step 2. Tap on About Phone Option and then on Software Update .
Step 3. Tap on Check Now Option and if the update is available, tap on Download to start downloading it.
Step 4. Once downloading gets done, go to notifications from the pull down and tap on System Update to install it.Tap OK button when appears.
The device will reboot automatically and start installing the update.Once done, reboot again manually and you are done.
Method 2: Manually When OTA Update Is Not Available
Step 1. Download Official HTC 10 ROM Update on your computer.
Step 2. Download HTC Sync Manager and install it.
Step 3. Connect your device to your computer and go to the folder where you have the ROM file.
Step 4. Double click on it to start system update process.
Step 5. Follow the instructions show on the screen and finally click on Finish button.
The device will reboot automatically and start installing the latest security update. Once done, disconnect your device from your computer and manually reboot it to start using it again.
