Google released the latest version of Android in the middle of last year which was named as Android 8.0 Oreo. This version of Android became the successor to the previously released version of Android which was named as Android 7.0/7.1 Nougat. Now, we have known that Android 8.0 Oreo has come with some minor interface and UI changes from Android Nougat whereas there are some more changes in Android 8.1 Oreo which was released at the end of last year. According to the leaks and rumours about the next version of Android which will be called as Android P, we have known that there will be major changes in terms of UI as well as the design language. As far as the design language is concerned, we have known that Android follows the Material Design language which was introduced by Google with the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Now, it is known that the next version of Material Design which will be called as MD 2.0 will be released with Android 9.0 P and we will see major changes in terms of visualization of Android.
As far as the latest Android P Developer Preview 1 is concerned, the notification shade has now been redesigned which looks like the image attached above. Apart from that, there is now a new option known as Notch simulator which allows users to simulate the display according to the notch size. There are options like Narrow display cutout, Tall display cutout as well as Wide display cutout inside Settings. Alos, we now have a built-in screenshot editor known as Markup inside Android which will let you edit an image as soon as the screenshot is taken. Now, the Android P Developer Preview 1 is available for Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL so you can download the binary images or OTA files. Note that there is no beta program for Android 9.0 P so you will have to manually flash this image to your device
