Download & Install One UI 7 Firmware on Samsung Devices [GUIDE]
Samsung began rolling out One UI 7 (Android 15) on April 7 for the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 worldwide, with U.S. carriers following on April 10. A critical bug briefly paused the rollout in South Korea, but Samsung has since resumed the global update.
If you sideloaded Beta OTAs up to build XXU4BYD9, future official OTAs will be blocked until you return to stock firmware via Odin. Official One UI 7 packages can be fetched with tools like Bifrost or Frija on PCs or Android.
Flashing requires Download mode on a Windows PC and the Odin tool to load BL, AP, CP, and CSC binaries. Samsung confirms over 50 devices, including Galaxy S, Z, A, F, M, and Tab series, will receive Android 15 updates through June and July 2025.
Why a Clean Install?

Once you sideload any beta OTA, Samsung’s servers block further OTAs until you flash back to official builds via Odin. A fresh firmware install ensures you can receive future stable updates without conflicts or missing patches.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, gather the following and make sure your phone has at least 60 percent battery:
- Backup your data: flashing may erase internal storage
- Windows PC with .NET Framework or higher
- Samsung USB drivers installed on the PC (via Smart Switch or stand-alone)
- Odin 3.14.1+: Samsung’s official flashing tool
- Firmware downloader: Bifrost (cross-platform) or Frija (Windows only)
- Official One UI 7 firmware ZIP for your exact model
- USB cable to link your device and PC safely
Downloading the Firmware
Using Bifrost
- Go to the Bifrost releases and download the binary for your platform (Windows/macOS/Linux/Android).
- Extract the ZIP, open the bin folder, and launch Bifrost.exe (Windows).
- In Bifrost, enter your model, region (CSC), and IMEI, then click Check for Updates.
- When it shows OS Version 15, hit Download, choose or create a “Firmware” folder, and wait for the download and integrity check to finish.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP to obtain the BL_.tar.md5, AP_.tar.md5, CP_.tar.md5, and CSC_.tar.md5 files.

Using Frija (Alternative)
- Download Frija and extract it.
- Launch Frija, enable Auto mode, and fill in Model and CSC.
- Click Check Update, then Download, and unzip the firmware package.
Preparing Your Device
- Charge to ≥ 60 percent to prevent shutdowns mid-flash.
- Back up photos, contacts, and app data to a PC or the cloud.
- Install Samsung USB drivers on your PC if not auto-detected.
- Enable Download Mode:
- Power off.
- Hold Vol Up + Vol Down, plug in USB, and hold 5–7 sec.
- At the warning screen, press Vol Up to confirm.

- Note your CSC from Settings > About phone > Software information.
Flashing Firmware with Odin
- On PC, run Odin3.exe (v3.14.1+).
- Connect the phone; the ID:COM port should turn blue.
- In Odin, assign files:
- BL → BL_*.tar.md5
- AP → AP_*.tar.md5
- CP → CP_*.tar.md5
- CSC → HOME_CSC_*.tar.md5 (keeps data)
- Ensure Re-partition is unchecked.

- Click Start to flash; do not disconnect until complete.

- Wait for a green PASS message; the device will reboot automatically into One UI 7.
Post-Flash Verification
After setup, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to confirm OTA eligibility. Explore new AI-driven features like multi-app Google Gemini actions, natural-language search in Settings, and the Now Bar widgets.
That covers everything you need to perform a clean One UI 7 install and restore your device’s OTA update path. Enjoy Android 15!
