Android has been well known as an operating system and it is the OS that has been installed on more than a billion smartphones currently active in the world. Now, as far as Android OS is concerned, it was a project by Google that was started based on an open source technology named Linux. Later on, Android OS’ popularity started to grow and it is now the most used operating system in the world. Last year, we saw that the 10th anniversary of Android OS was celebrated by Google and Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest version of Android was launched.

Now, Google has also released the next version of Android Oreo which has been named as Android 8.1 Oreo and we might see Android 8.1.1 Oreo or Android 8.1 Oreo could be the last version of Android Oreo. Thus, the next version of Android will be named as Android P until the launch of its official name which will be announced at the stable release of Android P. As far as Android P is concerned, we have known that Google is going to revamp Android OS after the Material Design revamp was done a few years back.
One of the interesting tidbits in the latest version of Android that has been found by the Reddit user is the support of Native Dark Mode which could be available in Android P. Google has replied to a native dark mode support request by saying that “Our engineering team has added this feature. It will be available in a future Android release“. It is known that theme support is not present on Stock Android and people have been waiting for it to be available on Stock Android from a long time as well.
