Xiaomi launched the first ever smartphone from the company with Stock Android instead of the familiar MIUI custom skin of Android that is shipped with every Xiaomi phone. This smartphone was launched by the company under the Android One tag which means that the software will be provided by Google which is pure Android and the hardware will be from OEMs, in this case, Xiaomi. As far as the smartphone is concerned, the handset has been named as the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Mi A1 from Xiaomi has been a fairly successful device in terms of sales and feedback for the company.

Apart from Stock Android on the Xiaomi Mi A1, the device also came with solid specifications like the inclusion of dual camera setup at the back which was also the first instance when Xiaomi launched its smartphone in global markets with a dual camera. Now, it was promised that the Android One smartphones would be getting speedy updates similar to the Google Pixel and Nexus devices. The Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Mi A1 was released by the end of December which was faster than others not as fast as Google-branded smartphones.
Later, the smartphone received the January 2018 security patch and now, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is getting a new OTA update. This update comes with the February 2018 security patch which was released by Google at the beginning of last month. However, the update has been released to the device after a month. Nevertheless, you should keep and eye out for the OTA update to arrive to your device and install the same as it will upgrade your smartphone to the February 2018 security patch which comes with security improvements and bug fixes.
