The Vivo Y81 budget smartphone is now official in India and available via sale on online stores. The device was already launched in last month in Vietnam. The device is priced at Rs.12,999 for a single variant of 3GB/32GB model. It features a notch display, bezel-less 19:9 aspect ratio HD+ screen and a 3,260mAh battery.

Vivo Y81 Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y81 smartphone comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS 19:9 aspect ratio notched display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and Corning Gorilla glass protection. It’s powered by an octa-core 2.0GHz MediaTek MT6762 SoC coupled with IMG GE8320 GPU and the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage option. The storage can be expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card.

The Vivo Y81 comes with a single rear camera of a 13MP sensor with aperture f/2.2 lens and a LED flash. The front features a 5MP selfie camera and a LED flash with some options like Face Beauty, HDR, Portrait mode, Panorama, group selfie, voice control etc. The rear camera also features HDR, pro mode, portrait, AI face beauty, slow motion, time lapse, PDAF, panorama etc.

The handset sports a 3,260mAh battery (doesn’t support fast charging) and it includes connectivity options like 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), GPS and all major sensors as well including a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock support. The Vivo Y81 weighs around 146.5 grams and measures 155.06×75.0×7.77mm. The mobile is available in two colors – Black and Gold.

The handset is already launched in India and goes sale in online stores (Vivo Online, Amazon, Flipkart etc.) at a Rs.12,999 price tag. There are some exciting offers and discounts available as well in Flipkart and Amazon. This device can compete with the same range devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Y2, Honor 9N, and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 etc. However, the specifications aren’t that all-rounder type but the marketing strategy and Vivo Indian consumer popularity will make a difference.
