Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 gets Android 8.1 Oreo update with November Security Patch

Currently, the tablet devices seem to be the last stage of survival in the mobile market. Samsung is one of the companies who still providing tablet devices with a bigger screen and decent specifications. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 now receiving Android 8.1 Oreo update. The OTA update has been noticed recently in Italy and will be rolled out soon to European countries as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Receives Android Oreo

The incremental OTA update will be rolled out to all Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 devices within a few weeks. While the OTA seems to feature the November security patch update. Though the version still not available in Google Pixel devices. For now, only the LTE variant will be updated but the Wi-Fi only version could join the list very soon.

The new Android Oreo update will bring the new redesigned UI along with Samsung’s Experience UI 9.0. It will also feature PIP (Picture-in-Picture) mode, Autofill API, notifications, dual messenger, home screen shortcuts, app drawer, settings menu etc. The update package version could be T395XXU3BRJ5.
