Samsung is all set to launch the latest smartphone in the Galaxy S8 series which is the Galaxy S8 Active. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is the smartphone launched by the company in the US which is a rugged version of the flagship smartphone from the company. As far as the smartphone is concerned, the body of the smartphone is covered with heavy grade materials so that the smartphone can be protected from falls from a certain distance without the need of any case. Also, the smartphone has been designed with a flat screen unlike the curved display on the Galaxy S8 so that the smartphone can be prevented from damages.
As far as the specifications and the design of the smartphone are concerned, the aspect ratio of the Galaxy S8 Active is most likely to remain the same which was 18.5:9. Also, the specifications of the device will most likely be the same as well. Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the device comes with a large 4000 mAh battery which is why the device is a bit thicker than the Galaxy S8. Also, the device will be powered by the latest processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835 chipset. Apart from that, we have some similarities with the design of the Galaxy S8.
One of them is that the smartphone will have a dedicated Bixby button which was first seen on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. To recall, Bixby is the virtual assistant from Samsung which was first launched with the Galaxy S8 in order to compete with the likes of Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant. Apart from the Bixby button, the Galaxy S8 Active also has capacitive buttons like on the S8. Other features include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, bottom firing speakers and a camera setup same as the Galaxy S8.
