Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy J series of smartphones which are the Galaxy J1, J3, J5 as well as J7 and the smartphones have been launched as the J 2017 smartphones. Talking about the Galaxy J series, the Galaxy J1 Mini Prime, the Galaxy J5 2017 as well as the Galaxy J7 2017 have been receiving an update as an OTA from Samsung which installs the latest security patch. Now, as far as the update is concerned, the company has released the July security patch update which is the latest security patch released by Google two weeks ago.

Now, as far as the update is concerned, the smartphones are getting the updates with the different build numbers which is expected as the devices are different as well. Talking about the build numbers, the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 comes with the build number as J730FXXU1AQG1, Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 with build number J530FXWU1AQF5 and Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini Prime with build number J106BUBU0AQG1. Now, as we reported earlier, the update comes with the July security patch so the update will install that to your phone first and foremost. Apart from that, the bugs existing in the previous build should also have been fixed. Now, talking about the July security patch, it will improve the security of the device on which it is installed so make sure to download the update and install it to your phone as early as possible.

Also, Samsung has released the update to all the above-mentioned devices as an OTA so the update should come to your device in the coming days and you will be notified automatically as the update comes to your device. Make sure to keep the battery on your device up to at least 50% so that there is no issue in the update installation process of the OTA.
