The Oppo sub-brand Realme is now very aggressive regarding their affordable all-rounder smartphones in India. Last month, the Realme 2 was launched at an entry-level price tag with some good key specifications and features. Now today on September 27, the brand announced their affordable mid-range all-rounder smartphone Realme 2 Pro in India. This one is the real successor of the Realme 1 device in terms of the price and specifications. The polycarbonate resin designed back panel looks glass type finish with a dewdrop (waterdrop) style notch display.
Realme 2 Pro Specifications
The Realme 2 Pro smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch full HD+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio dewdrop notch display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The display comes with an almost 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and 409 PPI. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU and comes with 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 8GB+128GB model. The storage can be expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
The Realme 2 Pro sports a dual rear camera of a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth effect. It supports 4K video recording @30fps with a LED flash and some AI features. The front 16MP selfie camera with AI Beauty 2.0 for better selfies. The AI features provide portrait mode, multi-frame noise reduction, scene recognition, AR stickers etc. It includes connectivity options like USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth, dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, USB 2.0 port, dual nano-SIM slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo over ColorOS 5.2 UI. The handset does have all the major sensors like Ambient light, an acceleration sensor, distance sensor, gyro, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the geomagnetic sensor. The device is packed with a decent 3,500mAh battery without any fast charger. It can easily last for a day or more due to AI support. The handset measures 156.7×74.0x8.5mm and weigh 174 grams.
Realme 2 Pro Price
The Realme 2 Pro smartphone is priced at Rs.13,990 for the base 4GB+64GB variant and Rs.15,990 for the 6GB+64GB variant. Whereas, the higher 8GB+128GB variant priced at Rs.17,990 in India. It will be available via Flipkart exclusive from October 11 at 12:00 AM IST midnight. The phone will be available in three colors like Black Sea, Blue Ocean, and Ice Lake.
