Two weeks ago, OnePlus started rolling out first OxygenOS 9.0.4 OTA update to OnePlus 6T devices for the latest November Security Patch. Then the company released OxygenOS 9.0.5 OTA for in-display fingerprint sensor and camera image quality improvement. Now, within a week, OnePlus released another OTA update OxygenOS 9.0.6 to improve image processing and screen unlock again.
Please note that this is an incremental OTA update which will improve and refine the system with bug fixes. However, the incremental update will take some time to available on all 6T devices. So, please be patient and check manually from the “Settings” > “System Update”.
OxygenOS 9.0.6 Update Changelog:
The OxygenOS 9.0.6 OTA update has a size around 200MB and will be rolled out through batches.

Please Note: This is an incremental update and stagged for region-specific devices. If you’re using any VPN service to download the different country update package, it won’t work properly. So, wait for the official OTA update.
According to the changelog of this update, the OTA update offers the improvement to the screen unlock and camera image quality. It also brings power consumption standby and some general bug fixes to the software. The update also improves Google Play Store notifications issue and problems in adding APN on Verizon network.
OnePlus 6T Features Overview
The Oneplus 6T offers a waterdrop notch design with an increased screen-to-body ratio of 86 percent. This time the company ditched the 3.5mm audio jack and notification LED indicator. The all-new In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and improved dual rear camera set up will differentiate the OnePlus 6 and 6T overall. The screen unlock technology takes almost 0.35 seconds to unlock the screen after tapping for scanning. There are three types of animations available in the settings but the default one seems pretty satisfying.
There were some shutterbugs and camera picture quality issues earlier but after almost three incremental updates including OxygenOS 9.0.6, the Portrait mode and Nightscape mode now improved a lot. The OxygenOS provides almost stock like experience over customizations. It’s quite faster and smoother as well as stock Android UI. The most of latest and flagship OnePlus devices now running on Android 9 Pie OS based on OxygenOS which also offers so many new improvements and features.
