Nokia which is owned by HMD Global has started rolling out the latest stable build of Android 8.1 Oreo for Nokia 8.The update comes with build number V4.84A.Its a major update for the device and being rolled as OTA (Over-the-air) update.
The new update is about 1562.7MB in size.It brings all the new oreo features like picture-in-picture mode to Nokia 8.Some of the bugs which were present in the previous build are now fixed.The update brings February 2018 Android security patch.It now has some great optimisation added which will improve the performance of the device.
Nokia released the beta version of Android 8.1 Oreo in January 2018 and now finally Nokia 8 users can update their device to V4.84A stable build.It’s a big major update.A stable wifi connection is always recommended while downloading the firmware.
You can manually check for the OTA update by going to Settings > About phone.If there is no update notification showing up on your device, then just wait a few more days for the update to come.
Important: Above 50% battery power is recommended while updating to the new OTA firmware update.
