Google just released the latest January Security Patch update for all Google Pixel devices in a new year. Google Pixel devices ensure the latest Android updates and security patch updates frequently than other Android devices. The new security patch fixes the vulnerabilities of the kernel code and system level. However, the January Security Patch not yet released for the Nexus phones. Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 2, and Google Pixel receiving the patch along with Pixel C model. But the Pixel C is still running on Android 8.1 Oreo because the device won’t be able to update in Android Pie.
January Security Patch Availability
The update also available for Essential PH-1 as well. While the Xiaomi Mi A1 is running on Android 9 Pie Beta with January Security Patch. Now it will be interesting to see that which other devices will get the latest patch update in the same month. The new security patch brings improved audio quality while recording videos on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices. Although, both of the handsets use stereo sound input while video recording, it was needed to be improved.

The update OTA is incremental and this will take a few days to roll-out the January Security Patch to the devices. However, you can download and install the OTA zip file or the Factory Image file from the official Google APIs for Android link.
