How to take screenshot on LG V30 | Simple Steps

LG has recently launched LG V30, the third generation smartphone in its V series flagship device. Quite surprisingly, it is missing out its secondary display which many disliked and called it a gimmick to sell the smartphone. Instead, it has got a beautiful OLED screen. But those who liked secondary display a lot in V10 and V20, for them, the company has included a floating bar and always on display feature. LG has beautifully balanced everything in this phone in terms of design and has received thumbs up from the experts. It is a direct competition to Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and Apple iPhone and other companies like Xiaomi Mi Mix, OnePlus 5t and HTC Honor.

Strong Specifications Of LG V30

If you are planning to buy the phone because you heard good things about the phone, you need to check out the specifications. It has a beautiful 6-inch OLED Full Vision display. No wonders why the aspect ratio is 18:9. It has QHD+ resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels with 538 ppi and HDR10 support. It is completely bezel less. It sports SnapDragon 835 processor which is the latest in the market. It also features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It is also having a 128 GB variant. The phone is running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. As far as the cameras go, it is sporting a dual rear camera each of 16 MP. The second camera would be a wide-angle photograph camera. The front camera is 5 MP but it has a wide-angle lens to compensate the disappointment.

Steps to take screenshot on LG V30

Whenever you buy a smartphone, the first thing you need to learn is taking a screenshot. Unlike tablets, smartphones do not have a dedicated button to take screenshots. If you are planning to buy LG V30 or already ordered and received it, you should know the steps to take a screenshot with the device. There are various apps available but it is unnecessary to have an app just to take a screenshot once in a while.

Step 1. Open the screen whose screenshot you want to take.

Step 2. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down key on your phone for a few seconds until you see an animation of clicking a photo. Along with that, you will also hear a sound of camera clicking which indicates that the screenshot is taken.

Step 3. Pull down the notification bar and tap on Screenshot Captured label to see it. You can share it with anyone.

With LG V30, you can also take video of a screenshot from its gallery app.

  1. Going a bit off topic here with my personal opinion but I really think this is the device you need to buy in 2018.

Why 2018 you ask? iPhone 8/X is about to be released in about a week or so and the Note 8 is already available for Pricey Android enthusiasts. People who care more about having a stock version of Android (me) will likely be going for the next iteration of Pixel series which will release sooner rather than later.

Stuck amidst all these big brand devices with an aggressive marketing stance is the LG V30. The device is a beast and is absolutely STUNNING! (Check out MKBHD on YouTube for more about the device) and unlike its predecessors has no secondary screen and at present, costs about $700. The way I see it, the will depreciate to around $600-650 or so in 2018 making it no brainer for most because let’s face it, devices aren’t advancing like before. The most we’re going to see next year is a touch screen fingerprint sensor and/or Snapdragon 845 which personally for me doesn’t make much of a difference.

Would love to hear about other people’s opinions on this device in either this comment thread or an LG V30 review article TDG creates

      1. Not exactly the point of this post lol. It isn’t ethical for me to divulge in details about the sites I work for on TDG. Hope you understand 🙂

          1. Yeah. But it’s funny though how at one point in time even $400 was considered ‘expensive’ for a smartphone and now prices even north of $600 are hailed as budget devices. Funny how time changes and how much you’re expected to invest in a device that you at most, will use for 2-3 years
