If you are from India and you have the popular Moto Z Play smartphone, there is a good news waiting for you. Motorola has officially released the much awaited Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update for Moto Z Play with their software channel chain RetIn(Retail India). If you have not yet got the OTA update, you can be sure that you will be getting in it a few days. Now the question arises whether you should be excited for it and get the update or just pass it on.
New Features Available With Retin Moto Z Play Update
Android 7.1.1 Nougat – One of the prime reasons why you should be taking the update is because of the new version of Android. You will be able to do multitasking like never before, you can get better notifications to control them more efficiently and you can save a lot of data by hibernating the background data consuming app. Furthermore, your battery life will increase massively.

Pre-Requirements
Download OTA Zip File containing Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update.
Download and SetUp ADB And Fastboot On Your PC
Take a backup of all data on your device and keep the battery charged to at least 60%.
Steps To Install Official Android 7.1.1 Nought Update On Moto Z Play Update
Step 1. Install ADB and Fastboot on your computer. (Check Pre-Requirement Section For the Guide)
Step 2. Copy the downloaded OTA Zip to the installation folder of ADB and Fastboot.
Step 3. Switch off your Moto Z Play and boot into Fastboot mode by pressing the Power and both the Volume keys . Select Recovery Mode and boot again.
Step 4. A Menu will appear on the mobile screen where you have to select Apply update through ADB.
Step 5. Now, open ADB and Fastboot on your computer and connect your device to it via USB. Make sure you have the USB driver installed.
Step 6. Open CMD from the ADB folder and type the following command and press enter to flash the update
adb sideload Blur_Version.26.1.22.addison.retail.en.US.zip
The process will take around half an hour and then you have to reboot and start using your Moto Z Play with Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
