Samsung Galaxy devices have always been known for their hardware and not so much for their software. There has been a widepsread feeling among many of the users that the Samsung phones are always lagging behind on the Android updates as well as the recently launched security patches. Though, this is changing and the company is working very hard to update all of its lineup with the latest software. Now, we are hearing that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 which was launched in 2016 is getting the latest security patch.
Samsung has recently rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) earlier this month and is now rolling out a new update to the same.
Arriving with the builds P580KXU1BQE6 (for the S Pen variant) and the T580XXU2BQE4 for the standard variant, the update installs the May security patch on the tablet. As is always the case, the security patch brings along several, performance and system improvements along with bug fixes to the Galaxy Tab A 10.1. We can’t stress enough the importance of security updates since they play a significant role in getting rid of system vulnerabilities which could turn out to be dangerous.
Now that the latest security patches have been received for the device, it will make sure that no bugs or security vulnerabilities could affect the device in any way whatsover. However, there are a few things to make sure before downloading the update, make sure to switch to a stable Wi-Fi network before installing the update to avoid extra data charges. As usual, back up your data prior to the beginning of the installation process. Also before beginning the installation process, make sure that your phone has been charged atlest above 50% battery on the phone in order to ensure that you have enough battery left after the installation.
