After Samsung Galaxy A series now the J series devices have started receiving Google’s February 2018 security patch update.The update is rolling out as an OTA (Over-the-air).The Samsung Galaxy J5 SM-J530F (2017) and Galaxy J7 SM-J727U (2017) are the first galaxy J series devices to receive this update.
According to Sammobile, currently, the Galaxy J5 2017 update is only available in the Us for regional carrier C Spire in the country whereas the Galaxy J7 SM-J727U (2017) update is rolling out in France.
The firmware version of the recent Galaxy J7 SM-J727U (2017) February 2018 security patch update is J727UUEU3ARB1 and J530FXXU2ARB2M for Galaxy J5 2017.The update has started rolling out as an OTA.If you are from those regions, then you may have already received the update.If the update is still not showing up on your device, then wait for few days for the update to come.

This new update comes with some system stability and performance improvements and brings patches for 16 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items which were detected in Samsung’s software.So we recommend users to update their devices.
