BlackBerry PRIV units are receiving a new firmware update which installs April security patch. The update is hitting devices on Verizon network as well as units in Korea, Canada and Australia.
The users of BlackBerry PRIV on Canadian carrier Telus have reported receiving the update which weighs at a hefty 1855 MB. Other than the monthly security patch, this update also includes various helpful improvements. On the other hand, T-Mobile users have reported getting the update but with pretty small file size of 20MB.
The update has arrived as build number AAK689 in the Asia Pacific and Australian region which again installs the April security patch. As we speak, the global variants of BlackBerry PRIV have started soaking in the May security patch update which started rolling towards the end of last week. The build number of this update is AAL202. You can get thid updates to your BlackBerry PRIV’s if you stay in the regions mentioned in the title by heading over to your device’s settings and checking for the update. Also make sure to install the update as soon as possible.
