Asus has started rolling-out FOTA (Firmware-over-the-air) update to the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Asus Zenfone Max M2 devices officially. Both the devices getting the latest December Security Patch update along with some system improvements. Both the devices launched in December last year and currently running on Android Oreo 8.1 version. However, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 is expected to receive the official Android 9 Pie update by the end of February this year. But Asus didn’t confirm yet officially.
Now the January month is running but Asus has provided December Security Patch as the latest one. The OTA for Zenfone Max M2 comes with 15.2016.1812.145 version number and the Zenfone Max Pro M2 received 15.2016.1812.179 version update. As this is a gradual roll-out process, this will take a few days.
