Asus has recently announced the latest FOTA update for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 device. The update started rolling out on December 19th, 2018 and will arrive on all variant devices via batches. Asus has been doing tremendous job regarding OTA updates since the device launched. The Android 9 Pie is expected to release in February 2019 for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Zenfone 5Z.

The latest firmware version is OPM1.WW_Phone-15.2016.1811.338-20181206. The update file size is 1.55 GB. The latest November Security Patch comes with a few optimizations as well. However, only a few device users received the OTA update officially. The update will take some time to roll-out via batches.
However, if you won’t want to wait for OTA notification, then you can easily download and install the update manually. Just download the file from the following link and save the file to phone’s internal storage. Reboot your device and you will be notified the update pop-up on the status bar. Tap on ‘System Update File Detected’ and install it.
