Asus has recently launched the latest Zenfone series of flagship smartphones last month at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress which was held in Barcelona same as every year. Now, it is known that the latest smartphones from Asus in the flagship Zenfone lineup will be the Asus Zenfone 5 and the Asus Zenfone 5Z. However, Asus is widely popular for the mid-range as well as budget smartphones from the company and we are now getting reports that the company is likely to launch a new smartphone in the Asus Zenfone 5 series in the mid-range lineup.

As far as the latest device is concerned, this will be named as the Asus Zenfone 5 Max which is the successor to the Asus Zenfone 4 Max which was announced by the company last year. As far as the Asus Zenfone Max smartphones are concerned, they have made their name due to the massive battery capacity that is fitted in the smartphones every year and it seems as if the trend is going to be continued with the Asus Zenfone 5 Max as well. The Asus Zenfone 5 Max has now been listed on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench and the listing shows that the smartphone will have Snapdragon 660 SoC and 4GB RAM.

Apart from that, the Asus Zenfone 5 Max is also expected to come with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ screen with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also rumoured to come with 64GB internal storage and some reports also suggest that Asus might be tempted to place a notch on top of the Asus Zenfone 5 Max display which could be similar to the iPhone X in terms of looks. Also, it is good to know that the Asus Zenfone 5 Max will come with Android 8.0 Oreo which should be expected from each and every smartphone releasing in 2018 as Android Oreo was released last year.
