Google launched the latest lineup of smartphones from the company after the company decided to drop the Nexus lineup of smartphones and the Nexus 6p, as well as the Nexus, 5x became the last smartphones to be released in the Nexus series. Now, the latest lineup of smartphones from the company was named as the Pixel smartphones and they were marketed heavily as made by Google. The company launched the Pixel and Pixel XL as the first Pixel series smartphones in 2016. Last year, the company upgraded the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
Therefore, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are now the latest flagship smartphones from the company until the launch of the Pixel 3 lineup which is expected to happen at the end of this year. As far as the Pixel 2 series is concerned, the Pixel 2 XL comes with a bigger display than the Pixel 2 as well as it contains a better battery capacity. Thus, same was the case this time around also with the February security patch which arrived on the smartphones as soon as announced by Google at the start of this month. However, we have now received reports that the Pixel 2 and 2 XL users are facing some battery drain issues and these issues have started to occur since the February security patch update. Apart from that, there are some reports which state that the phones are starting to get warm about updating to the February 20178 security patch which means that there are heating issues after the update.
