OnePlus has always claimed to be a company that provides features and improvements based on customer inputs. To recollect, the company tested out a new boot animation and later scraped it because of negative feedback from the customers. And even bigger, the company has now decided to bring the Face Unlock feature from the OnePlus 5T to the OnePlus 3/3T.
Face Unlock was a hugely popular feature from the OnePlus 5T. It was blazing fast and gained immediate attention since it was at least twice as fast as Apple’s FaceID. Bringing such an important feature to last year’s flagship is simply exceptional. Kudos OnePlus!
The Open Beta 30 for the OnePlus 3 and the Open Beta 21 for the OP3T bring quite a few improvements and features along with Face Unlock. The new updated OxygenOS launcher makes it’s way to the the smartphones along with updated apps. Another important feature addition is the support for Airtel VoLTE in India.
It is also worthy to note that the second Oreo Open Beta for the OnePlus 5T was released with the updated launcher, Notification Dots improvements, auto folder tagging and more.
Even though the new features seem enticing, we would recommend waiting for the stable update to arrive as there may be a plethora of bugs in the beta build.
