Yu is an Indian manufacturer which was backed by Micromax and which launched the first device from the company in early 2015 as the Yu Yuphoria. This smartphone was aimed as the flagship killer to the OnePlus One that was launched earlier than that. This smartphone was launched with an Open Source concept of the OnePlus One as well as the bootloader of the phone was able to unlock easily and the smartphone was getting warranty even if something happened. This made the smartphone popular but the company did not see the type of response it wanted for the smartphone.
However, we are here to inform you that the Yu Yuphoria has now received the first unofficial build of LineageOs 15 which is based on the latest version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo released by Google last month. We have already known that the LineageOS 15 builds are based on Android 8.0 Oreo but the official builds of the latest version of LineageOS are also some time to go so we will have to install the LineageOS 15 unofficial builds in the meantime. This also means that the builds that are available for the various devices to install the LineageOS 15 on your device may be highly unstable and may not work at all on your smartphone.
This leads us to the fact that you should only proceed with the installation of the ROM on your Yu Yuphoria smartphone once you know that you are installing a ROM on your device and this can damage the device or make some changes that are hard to repair. However, if you know all the risks and you are experienced in this process than you can proceed with the installation process by downloading the ROM and the GApps from the Download section below. Also, you should follow our guide to install custom ROM on Android device.
