Verizon has been rolling out the updates with the latest security patch build to almost all of the devices in their network. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 have recently received the update from Verizon network which brings the July security patch update to the smartphones along with various other bug fixes as well. Now, the Samsung Galaxy J series smartphones on the Verizon network have started to receive the latest security patch update to their smartphones thanks to the Verizon network.
As far as the devices that will receive the updates are concerned, the update is rolling out to a whole host of devices in the Galaxy J3 and the Galaxy J7 series that have been available on the Verizon network. These devices are the Galaxy J7 V, Galaxy J7 V Prepaid, Galaxy J3 Eclipse and Galaxy J3 Mission which are receiving July security patch and several bug fixes. As far as the build numbers are to be noted, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Mission is getting the update as build number J327VPPVRU1AQF3 while the update is hitting Samsung Galaxy J3 Eclipse as build number J327VVRU1AQF3. For the Galaxy J7 smartphones, Samsung Galaxy J7 V Prepaid and Samsung Galaxy J7 V are receiving the update as build number J727VPPVRU1AQF3 and J727VVRU1AQF3. The update installs latest monthly security patch on all the four devices.
The Samsung devices from Verizon are receiving the update and the changelog for the Galaxy J3 series smartphones reads that the incorrect data usage display and Wi-Fi Settings issue have now been fixed. Changes on the Galaxy J3 series, on the other hand, include a new version of Visual Voicemail and notification for no app space with the latest software update. It also fixes Incorrect error message issue and improves voice over Wi-Fi calling.
