Apple is a company that heavily influences smartphone brands and trends in the technology industry. Even after being heavily criticised for the removal of the headphone jack, other smartphone manufacturers followed suit. This is the case with the highly controversial “notch” from iPhone X as well. We have already seen a lot of smartphones adopt the notch design and expect many more to do so. A new report from NokiaPowerUser claims that the Nokia 9 will feature with an iPhone X like notch.
A lot of phones now share the “notch” design that first debuted with Essential PH1. Even though it doesn’t necessarily look pretty, it ensures that we are in the transition phase of pushing towards a bezel-less future.
The report also suggests that the Nokia 9 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. At this point of time, Vivo is the only smartphone manufacturer which has successfully implemented an under-the-glass fingerprint scanner. It is also worthy to note that Apple reportedly failed to do it in the iPhone X and hence went with FaceID as their only way of security authentication.
As for specifications, the smartphone will be a powerhouse and will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. Info on RAM is unknown at the moment but we exert it to be at-least 6GB.
