Sony has released the Sony Xperia XZ Premium as well as the Xperia XZ just recently in the international markets. The devices have been receiving the updates as well and now, one more Sony device is receiving the much-needed update to Android 7.0 Nougat and it is the Sony Xperia XZ Ultra. The device is receiving the update in Turkey as of now and the update should be coming to other areas as well. The update is arriving with the build 36.1.A.0.179 and is currently being seeded over-the-air (OTA) to the Xperia XA Ultra owners.
Once you install the update, you will be able to utilize all the Nougat goodies, the multi-window split screen mode, for one is a good example. Also, the notification shade has been revamped on Nougat. So, that’s another change.The Settings menu has also been revamped. It now has built-in toggles for easy usability. Plus, you get the improved Doze mode for extended battery life if need be. Then there are multiple performances as well as stability improvements.Before downloading/installing the update, make sure you have enough charge left on phone. Maintain at least 60 – 70% charge on your phone. Also, switch to a Wi-Fi network before hitting the download button to save yourself from unnecessary data charges.
As is the case with every major update, in this case, the Android Nougat update, it is always advisable to have a clean install of the update on your device which means that you should take a backup of your phone and wipe the device after the installation of the device so that you can have a fresh device after the update gets installed on your phone.
