WhatsApp is currently the most popular messaging app in the world. With over a billion active users per month, the app is not going anywhere anytime soon. It was acquired by Facebook a few years ago and ever since it has been getting a lot of new features.
While there are already many useful features built into Whatsapp like, the ability to share any file format and end to end encryption for messages, there are still a lot of things that could be added to improve the user experience.
One such feature, which is very popular among other messaging apps and frequently requested by Whatsapp users is an auto-response to messages.
Auto response feature is used to automatically send predefined replies when you receive a particular message from a Whatsapp user or a group. Here we will be covering how you can Send Automated Replies In Whatsapp
For instance, if someone is sending you a message which reads, “Good Morning”, you can set the feature to instantly reply with a personalised message like “Have a nice day”.
By this way, you can save your time from manually replying to monotonous messages like Thank you for congratulation messages.
However, this feature is not currently available as a default option in Whatsapp. But, one developer over at XDA forums has managed to create an app that instantly replies to specific messages with a predefined format.
Here is how to use that app to set up auto responses to your Whatsapp messages from users and groups and Send Automated Replies In Whatsapp
How To Send Automated Replies In Whatsapp
Step 1: Download and Install the AutoResponder For Whatsapp app from the Google Play Store. Note that the app is not released yet and it is still in the development phase. So it might not work at all times.
Step 2: Now open the app and grant the notifications permission. This is to allow the app to access your Whatsapp messages notification so that it could send automated replies accordingly.
Step 3: Now return to the app homepage and then click on the Add button at the bottom to create a new rule.
The rule is where you set up what response you want to send, to whom and to what message.
Step 4: Now add the message to which you want to send an auto response to in the received message text box.
For example, if you want the app to send automated replies whenever you get a message from someone which says “Hello”, then enter Hello in the text box.
Step 5: Now type what reply you want to be sent in the reply message text box.
Step 6: You can now select to whom you want to send auto responses. You can either select individual contacts or groups.
The free version of the app sends out auto replies almost instantly when you receive a message.
If you want to set a time delay, like reply after 10 seconds you receive a message, then you have to buy the pro version.
You have now successfully created the first rule. The app will now start sending out automated responses.
You can also create new rules if you want. Just follow the same procedure as above. Let us know in the comments below your thoughts on this app!
