Samsung launched the latest flagship smartphones from the company earlier last year in the Galaxy S series which were named as the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ and these smartphones were the successor to the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge released in the previous year. Now, we have seen that the next version of Android has already arrived for the Google-powered devices like the Nexus and the Google Pixel phones. However, it is a common problem that the other smartphones are always left out to get the latest Android update on time.
Talking about the Android Oreo update, we have seen that the Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ was just released yesterday after the beta testing of the Android Oreo update was completed for the smartphone and the stable rollout has begun.

Now, we have known that the Galaxy S7 will also get the Android Oreo update from Samsung as the device was a 2016 flagship in the Galaxy S series from the company. However, we also expect the company to release updates for its older flagships as well like the Galaxy S6 and the other flagship smartphones released by Samsung in 2015.
Thus, we have now heard about the rollout of Android Oreo update for the Galaxy flagships from Samsung that were released in 2015 which include the Galaxy S6 range in the Galaxy S lineup and the Galaxy Note 5 in the Galaxy Note lineup. This information comes via the support page for the aforementioned device from T-Mobile which states that “the device manufacturer has agreed to support a new software update.”. This software update should be the Android Oreo update for the smartphones and if that’s the case then the update should arrive by the end of this month or next month at the latest.
