Samsung has been busy preparing to launch the next flagship in their Note lineup of smartphones which will be the Note 8. Samsung’s Note 8 has been leaked and rumored many times but Samsung has launched one mid-range smartphone in Korea before that. This smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 which is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Wide which was launched last year. We would like to inform you that Galaxy Wide 2 is the name for the Galaxy J7 2017 in Korea. The Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 has been launched today in Samsung’s home country, Korea. The details on when it is launching in the other countries has not been revealed yet.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 has been launched with 5.5-inch 2.5D LCD display, carrying a 720 x 1280 HD resolution. An octa-core 1.6GHz CPU is under the hood, and 2GB of RAM is inside. The handset is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It has 16 GB internal memory and an expandable storage slot of 256GB via micro sd card slot also. It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The Galaxy Wide 2 is capable of dual-sim functionality and is backed by 3300 mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity, this handset offers WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB, GPS + GLONASS, and 4G. It measures 151.5×76.4×8.6mm and weighs 170g.
The smartphone has been launched with the Android 7.0 Nougat update out-of-the-box and the pricing of the smartphone is set at 297,000 Korean won which is approximately Rs 17,131. This suggests that the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 could be launching in other countries including India very soon. The details of when is the smartphone launching in other countries is not known yet.
