Samsung has just finished releasing all of their new smartphones in various different lineups this year. However, the most important releases from the company are the smartphones that have been released in the Samsung Galaxy S series and the Galaxy Note series. The company announced the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus earlier this year which is the latest smartphones from the company in the S series and later this year, the company also announced their flagship Note series smartphone which is the Galaxy Note8.
Talking about the smartphones from the Galaxy S series and the Galaxy Note series, we have now known that Samsung is releasing October security patch to both of their previous year’s flagship devices. This is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Both of these smartphones were released in 2015 and these smartphones also marked a new design language from the company which was also a construction from Glass and Metal instead of the previous plastic designs.
Talking about the updates for the smartphones, they are receiving the October security patch which is the latest security patch that was released by Google earlier this month to the Google Pixel and the Nexus devices. This security patch was also released later to the Xiaomi Mi A1 which is the first Android One smartphone to be released this year. Now, we would like to mention that the latest update which comes with the October security patch to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note5 is expected to bring security improvements to the device but there is nothing major that has been revamped on the software side of things. However, it is important to install this update as it will bring the October security patch which brings some fixes to major security flaws that have been found in Android devices.
