OnePlus has finally launched the most anticipated smartphone of this year, the OnePlus 5 which is also the company’s latest flagship smartphone after the last year’s OnePlus 3/T. We had already seen plenty of leaks and rumors of the smartphone. The leaks of the design of OnePlus 5 showed a close resemblance to the iPhone 7 Plus due to its dual camera on the back. The OnePlus 5 has been launched by the company with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage as well as a dual camera setup on the back. The smartphone has been launched in two color options- Midnight Black and Slate Grey.
Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the OnePlus 5 is powered by 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the OnePlus 5 packs a 20-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The OnePlus 5 runs Android 7.1.1 and is powered by a 3300mAh non removable battery. It measures 154.20 x 74.10 x 7.25 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 153.00 grams.
Taling about the pricing and availability details of the OnePlus 5, Oneplus mentioned in its launch event that the OnePlus 5’s 6 GB/64 GB variant has been priced at Rs. 32,999 in the Indian markets and the 8 GB/128 GB variant of the OnePlus 5 will cost Rs. 37,999. Talking about the launch accessories, OnePlus 5 comes with 4 new cases for style as well as protection for the phone. Also worth noting is that the OnePlus 5 is available in two color options but the Midnight Black variant will be limited to the 8 GB/128 GB variant only.
