In a recent event, Nokia unveiled quite a few smartphones in India at various price points. The original Nokia 6 was launched by HMD Global last year and it was the first smartphone to comes with the Nokia branding. Now, the Nokia 6(2018) is available in India at a price of Rs.16,999.
It is safe to say that the mid-range smartphone segment has been dominated by Xiaomi for quite some time now. The Nokia 6 directly goes head to head with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, an excellent device with great sales figures already.
The Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 1080p resolution. Note that the resolution is Full HD and not Full HD+ meaning that the handset still comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and doesn’t feature the popular 18:9 display panel that is found in most smartphones launching in 2018.
As for specs, the Nokia 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage which is expandable via microSD. This is fuelled by a fairly sized 3,000 mAh cell.
As for optics, a single 16MP camera is present at the rear with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone flash. This is backed up by an 8MP selfie shooter with an 84 degree field-of-view.
While Nokia has put up a decent package, it still seems that there are better offerings in the same price bracket. Do you agree? Let us know in the comments below.
