Google’s Android One program is getting top in the list of faster Android and security patch updates after flagship devices. Almost all the Android One powered smartphones already got the latest Android 9 Pie stable firmware update officially. The Motorola One is one of them. It already gets the Pie update and now receiving security patch updates with system stability to its latest version. While the non-pixel and non-Android One devices still struggling to receive the new update by the developers yet. Today is the Friday, 1st March 2019 and the Motorola One devices already started receiving the current security patch update via OTA. That’s a big achievement in terms of the budget Android smartphone category. The Lenovo-owned Motorola brand already announced a release note officially on their website. The Maintenance Release Note of Motorola One device includes the Android Security Patch update of March 1st, 2019.
The update is rolling out to the US region devices currently and the Indian version Moto One Power will get the update soon. There is no mention about the bugs fixes but we can expect to receive the update with system improvements as well. The update is in incremental mode and will roll out via batches to the devices. So you need to wait for the OTA update notification. If you have already got the OTA update notification then select Download and Install > Restart Now.
Otherwise, you can also check for the update manually from the device Settings > System > Advanced > System updates > Download and Install > Restart now. That’s it.
