Jumping on the Android one bandwagon in India after it has been made considerable popular largely due to HMD Global’s Nokia smartphones and Xiaomi’s Mi A Series, Lenovo owned Moto is all set to launch their first Android One smartphone for the country, the Moto One Power.
Moto’s official Twitter page for the country has made the announcement regarding a launch event in the country that is to be held on the 24th of this month. The tweet has the following description, “Yes, it’s coming! A co-creation of Motorola + Google, the #motorolaonepower unveils on 24th September! #Areyouready?” which all but confirms the launch of the Moto One Power in the country.
The Moto One Power was launched by Moto at the IFA 2018 alongside the regular Moto One. The devices are the most un-Motoish device from the company with the company ditching their round camera placement at the back and instead of copying iPhone X mercilessly. The device, in case it isn’t obvious yet, houses a notch also.
The device has a 6.1- inch Full HD+ notched display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 with a noticeable chin at the bottom which also carries the Moto branding.
It comes with a Qualcomm 636 octa-core SoC on- board and has 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage which can be expandable up to 128GB.
The device has a dual camera set up at the back houses in an enclose that seems to be taken directly from the iPhone X. The cameras in the back include 5MP and 16MP sensor with the secondary sensor provided only for depth sensing, and for increasing the sale of the device. The front sensor is a 12MP one and comes with AI capabilities, because it is a buzzword nowadays, and included portrait mode and smart camera capabilities.
A 5,000 mAh battery compatible with Moto’s Turbo Charging tech powers the device giving it enough juice to last a couple of days.
The device has a P2i water resistance coating also.
