Motorola had released the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus last year. Later, the company also released a budget-friendly variant of the Moto G4, known as the Moto G4 Play. The Moto G4 Play is available in India for a price of about Rs. 7,999. As for the specifications, the Moto G4 Play came with Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box, 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM as well as a micro SD card slot which can be expanded up to 128 GB. The users of the Moto G4 Play had been waiting for the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to arrive on their phones and Lenovo had also promised to release the update in June.

Now with the Moto G4 Play being updated to Android 7.1.1, users will get the Google Assistant. Users will also get app shortcuts, where if you press on an app icon, a few shortcuts will appear.
