Yesterday on July 10, the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus launched in India as a budget segment device. After some typical smartphones launch, Motorola finally is focusing on Indian consumers featuring a bigger display, a bigger battery, and entertainment purpose handset. These two devices come with Reliance Jio launch offers and discounts.
The Lenovo-owned Moto E5 priced at Rs.9,999 and the Moto E5 Plus priced at Rs.11,999 in India. From today onwards July 11 and July 12, both the smartphones come with a Rs.800 discount on SBI cards with no-cost EMI up to 9 months. Additional 130GB mobile data will be available from Reliance Jio. Buyers will get discounts and Rs.1,200 vouchers from the Moto-Hub, Motorola associated offline stores, and Paytm Mall app on purchases of the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus.

Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus Specifications
Both the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio display and HD+ resolution of 720×1440 pixels.
Moto E5
The Moto E5 comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage variant. The device features a single 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and a LED flash. The front has a 5MP of selfie camera. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with pure stock version out of the box.
The Moto E5 comes with a 4,000mAh battery and a single/dual LTE SIM variant. It includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC support (for single-SIM variant only), GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio etc. The Moto E5 features some of the major sensors as well. It measures 154.4×72.2×8.95mm and weighs around 174 grams. Two color variants – Flash Grey and Fine Gold are available for this device.
Moto E5 Plus
The Moto E5 Plus comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio 6-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage capacity. The storage can be expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. It has a water splash resistant coating for protection. The device features a rear camera of the 12MP sensor. The primary 12MP camera features f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus, PDAF with LED flash. Whereas, the 8MP selfie camera features a f/2.2 aperture lens.

The Moto E5 Plus runs on stock Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It is packed with a bigger 5,000mAh battery along with TurboCharge support. The company claimed that the device will boost up to 6 hours of battery life on 15 minutes of charge. The Moto E5 Plus has 4G LTE (single-SIM), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 3.5mm audio jack, MicroUSB 2.0 port etc. It includes all the major sensors like Gyro, Proximity, Ambient Light sensor etc. The handset measures 161.9×75.3×9.35mm and weigh around 200 grams.
Both the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus smartphones will be an Amazon exclusive in India.
